Whats up guyz? new member here. um im most likely trading my 1989 Z24 2.8 v6 bored and stroked to a 3.1 5 speed for a
1984 Monte SS 305 auto white with blue stripes and interior
not new to cars but never had a monte SS
but had a handful of 1st gen S10s and 2 Z24 cavaliers both 1989
1991 S15
1992 S10
1988 S10
1989 Z24
1989 Coupe
i sitll have the Z24 and the 88 s10 but heres a pic of my Z24 and the monte im suposed to trade if for
should i do it?? lol iv heard bad about 305s and it would hav to be my daily driver lolz..

Welcome to the Monte Carlo Family.
You have a nice Z24, but I really love the 4th Generation
Monte Carlo.
I think the 305 is a great engine, but not much power.
I read in your profile that you are a mechanic, so if
you want more power you can always drop in a
350 c.i or a modded 383
It's really apple & oranges and it comes down to
condition comparison/miles etc, and what you
would like to own...
I hope you get the Monte

305....I posted one 2day on a 86SS that's on Ebay
and it has a 350 transplant...

yea me and my dad had a 305 in our 73 nova...we blew it up the first day we got it....rebuilt it...and it blew up again...so we droped in a 350 outa a 78 blazer..
but....i hav a 350 TBI engine from a 1989 2500 truck....that i can drop in the monte if i swap intake and heads for carb.......but
i wana get the monte lookin good and be able to drive it everyday
my idea was to swap in the 350 one day and the 305 from it will go in my S10
but for now...i wana get alot more power outa the 305 but safely be able to daily it.....any sugestions on what to do?
and i LOVE the 4th gens so i hope i get it toooo

the deal is going smoothly as long as he dont back out

dont think im gettin the 84 SS......hes kinda being a dick so screw it....i found a pretty rough 1986 LS thats been made into a clone of an SS.....NOW TEHSE PICS ARE VERY OLD ... it now has all the works of an SS on the outside.....SS lights mirriors spoiler wheels bumpers ect ect ect
it has a 350 and a th350 trans with dual exhaust.....now lik i said....old pics...
but i looked at it tonite.....runs kinda rougha nd teh conversion is not finsished....i told him finish the SS conversion and get it running perfectly and ill trade you...he said.....gime till saturday...so...lol...hope it all works out!

by teh weekend it will wav the SS headlights in and nose aligned right,......the rest is together....cept the tail lights need to go onwhich they will
if he gets it running right ill trade.....if not...ill find anotehr lol im not giving up lol i want a monte...i was gna get one for my first car...but was $200 shy and got a S10 lmao...still kick myself over it
