Default Another new Monte enthusiast

Hello all,
I just purchased a 97 Z34 (yeah, i know, a Lumina Carlo). The saving grace on this Monte, for me, was the factory ground effects kit it has( was told it's a Euro kit, it's option B97)...I think it really sets it apart. I haven't seen many with the factory kit, but I like it a lot. Reminds me a little of the Cavy Z24 kit from the side, but anyway, I like it.
I can't pick it up until tomorrow unfortunately, so i only have one pic of it dirty...not the best either. My apologies for an un-cropped photo, it wouldn't let me for some reason.
First Monte, but I've had many other bowties and cars in general. This will be my "commuter" car.
It needs a little work, but it has 140K miles and a lot of potential, even for a 3.4

My other bowtieswere as follows:
78 Malibu Classic V8 coupe, 79 Camaro Berlinetta auto with rebuilt '71 350 swap and some other necessary goodies, 88? Cavalier Z24 with functional factoryCI hoodand 5 speed(very fun little car), 2004 S10 blazer 4x4, 2002 Trailblazer LT 2WD (nice I6 engine)
My Monte has 140K miles on it...hoping for another 100K. It was a multi owner car and a lot of the major PM has been done already fortunately. Thanks for the welcome...I'll have plenty of questions....after searching of course.

Welcome to the site!

You're right about the ground effects looking like the Cavi Z24.
I had a '91 Cavi Z24 and the ground effects looked just like that.
I got pics, but they're all old-school film pics, and my scanner ain't working right now. Besides, you already know what the Cavi looks like anyway.

By the way, no need to call it a Lumi-Carlo. There is a big difference between the early 90's Lumina Z34, and the 96-99 Monte Carlo Z34. Don't look anything alike.

Best of luck when you pick it up. Nice car you bought. Now go get it washed! LOL.

Nice car, add another 5th gen owner to the mix! I would have to agree that that does look like the razzi body kit. There were no factory ground effects that I know of, even the dale earnhardt edition didnt have any.

Kinda looks like the factory rims with the center caps missing.
