Hey, another new guy here. I live in Lockport, Illinois which is about about 30 miles southwest of Chicago. I recently bought a '06 3.9 LT, WHITE.

I have to say, I absolutely love it. I never paid much attention to the more recent Monte Carlo until the 7th generation was released. My dad has a white '99 and I've always liked it.

Anyways, again... I love the thing and I'm in the process of doing some add-on's here and there. I notice there is a sudden surge in aftermarket 7th gen material floating around. Plenty of room, a perfect stop and go pace, minus the 5.3 that I can only dream about at the moment.

Welcome to the forum. The 3.9 is a pretty stout engine for a V6. I would be happy with it. Lets see some pics of the new addition.
