Default Adding Options

I am new to the forum and I'm seeking information about the 2001 Monte Carlo. I would like to know if the LS model without the driver information convenience center has the wiring for the option already installed. Any information will be helpful.

If you are looking to add the Driver Info Center, yes, it can be done. I did it in my 04 Monte and my ex-wife's 05 Impala. Make life easier, I have a plug and play kit to do it for sale:
https://montecarloforum.com/forum/pr...r-parts-55305/
- Driver Information Center with Sun Roof control (plug-n-play add on kit) for 00-05 Montes and Impalas (excluding 9C1/9C3 Police Package). If your car did not come with a DIC, this is a complete kit to install it (temp sensor, plug-n-play wiring harness, and a gray interior option DIC). To install requires removing a couple pieces of trim (not the headliner) and tuck the wiring up, cut a hole in the front of the headliner and plug it in. Very easy to complete and add a missing factory option (did this to my Monte and my wife's Impala). - $100 shipped

And if you want more info about it and the install, here is a page to look at:
