84 Monte Carlo SS
Hello All, I'm a newbie here on the forum and I'm a gear head from way back. I never really had any real hot rods but always helped my brothers and friends build their race cars and hot rods. I have a wife and family they had cars. I've owned a 1984 Monte SS for about 15-20 years. basically stock, outlaw II rims, flow master exhaust, lowered 2", about 84000 miles. I have been trying to think of a project to do with my 12 yr son, something to get him off the X-box, then my oldest son found a 5.3 with harness and ECM at a great price on facebook marketplace. So it looks like we're doing an LS swap in my Monte! Low budget, no frills LS swap. In the last week or two i've been doing a lot of reading and research and I think we do a mild build for $5000.00 and end up with a cool little hot rod, and hopefully a bunch of great memories.
