Default 2004r tranny

looking for answers about my 2004r tranny. i have park,drive, reverse, and overdrive but when i manualy down shift i get nothing.

I could be wrong, but I think it has to do with the computer/RPM combination. If you are at a specific RPM and downshift, the computer will keep it from downshifting as it would on older non-computer cars.

Woops, misread. Thought you said a 2004 transmission. Sorry for the double post, not sure how to edit on this forum yet.

It's a carberated, has no computer. I have a shift kit in it

Shift kit no worky...need to drop the pan a redo the kit properly
