2002 limited edition 40000 miles NOW WITH PICS
Hi all,
I have just found this board, but I love my '02 Monte.
It has 40,000 miles, and several aftermarket parts. It is close to the D.E. Edition, but all it has is DE stickers.
I am waiting until springtime to post pics, because i have a nice spot picked out for pics when the trees bloom.
Glad to be here

UPDATE....12/13/09...I think I have posted some pics....I thought she looked good in the mist and fog.

Yes....I'm a Journeyman Inside Wireman Rock. I bought it from first owner who drove it off showroom floor.I have window sticker for 28,500. I bought it Feb '08 with 28000 miles. I was probably the first person to look at it...paid cash next day. I found it on the bulletin board where I was working at the time. I have put about $2500 worth of aftermarket stuff on it since. My next project is ignition.

What do you mean by "rock"?
What are your ignition plans? Stay away from MSD coils, if that was on the list. Factory coils are the best on the market. I have ZZP wires and are happy with them, and NGK Iridium plugs. They last forever.
What other mods have you done?

sorry Rocknss....
I was thinking MSD coils....and NGK iridium plugs and some nice wires.....
What is the fault of the MSD coils? I don't want to lose driveability. I was really thinking of going with the MSD because I thought the red would look nice under the hood.

They DO look good, but they don't have the consistent performance of stock. I've had several tell memthat, including ZZPerformance, and the guy that dyno'd my car last year, complaining about the coilpacks the whole time. What was a 5 minute dyno took 30 minutes. Couldn't get a good reading because the voltage was all over the place.
And the MSDs are made in China, like everything else. Unless yours are junk (mine were), leave'em in.
Get some red plug wires. Maybe paint your strut braces red.

What coils are those in the pics? Those look nice, but mine isn't supercharged....wasn't available in '02 I think.
Thanks for info about the MSD coils though, if they are made in China
then I'll keep factory ones.
Who made the red battery?
