Default 2001 wiper arm orientation weird

I just bought a 2001 Monte SS and it is a great car that was stored inside for several years.
The only problem I have with it is the driver side wiper armature. The blade goes off the entire windshield by about 8" to 10". The built in bend causes it and the passenger side works fine with less of a bend. Is the solution to get a straight armature (that seems to work on other cars) but the Chev dealer has no idea what I am talking about.
Any similar problems?

When you turn your wipers off do they tuck in under the Hood?

Sounds to me like a park alignment issue like JC mentioned....
Or someone replaced it with the "wrong" wiper arm?

They both tuck okay (slightly out but no where near 10" out). They both have a different bend and I am going to try to reverse them to see and if that works get an arm the same as passenger side for the driver side.
Thanks.
