Default 1976 monte carlo restore

So, I'd like to purchase a 1976 Monte Carlo. My father in law has one, and it's grey with red interior. Can I have the entire interior converted to black? The top is also a different color and I'd like that changed, and a swivel seat put in. I am mainly concerned about if the interior can be converted to another color if I wish, else, I guess I'll have to try to find one that's already what I'd like. Can anyone advise if this is possible and if so what it might cost?

Thanks

Yes you can get the interior converted over to black, it would be a matter of getting everything to reupalster or dying the seats, dash and other parts, the top can be changed over too, i can't remeber how much they have but check out dixiemontecarlodepot.com

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. My father in law has a monte carlo that's grey with red interior, if it's a 76' I thought getting interior converted from red to black or grey would have been a drastic job. I guess not. Thanks for the info, Now the question is, how much would all of that cost me...

Anyone having any pictures of their 76 MC and any color recommendations for interior/exterior, what were the original color combinations available?

Default Red interior

I think Red interior with the Grey exterior is a great looking car. I almost bought a 70 Chevelle. With that combo. Looks real classy. And Not too may around with that combo. Everyone has Black. Not that theres any wrong with that. But Thats my Opinion. If its factory combo. ? I bet it hard to find another one like it.

You could go to your local junk yard. And look around . tell them what your looking for. I seen some nice Honda & Toyota seats that would work out great. OR I bought seats from Summitt racing catalog for $ 600.00. Google Sumitt racing and look them up. or check out your local yards. Good luck

I did everything you mentioned above to my 77 GP. It had white top and seats. Found a car being parted with perfect everything and switched it all over. Took to trim shop and had new top put on. Hard to say about cost. Depends on what you find. Swivels aren't cheap. Good Luck.
