Default 04 monte ls vs. monte ss

I was wondering what are the major differences between the ls and ss. I have a 04 ls and want to upgrade the car as much as possible to a "ss". Besides the engine what are things I can do to upgrade. Or if anyone knows a website with the specs for both vehicles that would be appreciated too. Thanks.

there's a few out there, but damn they're expensive! At the end of the day, the SS only has 20 more hp than a LS, I believe it has slightly upgraded suspension components as well although I could very well be wrong. The SS comes stock w/dual mufflers too. The first mod I did to my LS was make it dual exhaust with dual DynoMax SuperTurbo mufflers out back. I also put in a True Flow drop in Air Filter cause I just can't see myself paying over $200 for a CAI, it just ain't gonna happen. I'm still up in the air about headers.....while i'm sure they would seal the deal on allowing the car to breathe better and add some more ponies, like the CAI, they're bank!!

around how much did the dual exhaust mod run you? also what kind of rotors/caliber brands do you recommend? looking at slotted crossed drilled.

i called dynomax to see what i would need to do the dual exhaust mod and the guy i talked with didnt have any info on how to do the job on a 04 monte with the 3.4l engine. is yours a true dual exhaust or does it split in the back? do you know of anyone i can call? basically need to know what parts i would need.

$300 to get the duals. The tips were like $35ea, mufflers were about $90ea and I think they charged like $50 for the Y adapter/piping/installation. Any reputable muffler shop should be able to handle it for you, DynoMax won't have any info except which mufflers would fit the car cause they don't make a kit for it.

As for rotors and calipers, I haven't done much research on them so I can't call it.
