Xfinity Picks/Talladega/Saturday
Off to Talladega we go! I'll be in Arlington with my dad and brother watching baseball, but we'll probably be on the road during the race so I'll be streaming the audio via my phone like I did when we went to Texas back in September.
Keep in mind, the 88 is being driven by Kasey Kahne on Saturday. Not many Cup drivers in this one.
That said, I'm picking the following for this crapshoot.
#7 Regan Smith
#20 Erik Jones
#9 Chase Elliot

I wish it were Jr himself in the 88, but I guess he doesn't want to pull "a Kyle Busch". Rumour has it that primary sponsorship of the #88 in SprintCup cost about $2million per race. That number probably drops significantly when Regan Smith is in the car.
I won't be watching this race live this weekend cuz I have a wedding to attend. I hate weddings.
1. Chase Elliott
2. Kasey Kahne
3. Joey Logano

I don't like funerals, and to me, weddings are funerals....
I think Kyle Busch is making a lot of guys think twice about doing double duty. Kind of a shame, but it is true.
Darrell Wallace, Jr is driving a Spongebob car this weekend. That means I'm not picking it.
I gotta go with....
1) The 22, piloted by Joey Logano according to Jayski
2) The 1, piloted by Elliott Sadler. He did win this race last year.
3) The 60, piloted by Chris BUESCHER!!!
I'm working on plans to attend the October race there.....

Elliot Sadler failed post race inspection and a 50 point penalty has been assessed

And Duane wins it because all his cars survived and one was the winner. David was the only other one who made it unscathed.
