Default Xfinity Picks/Kansas/Saturday

Congrats to Duane on winning last week at Charlotte! We're off to Kansas this week. I don't recall there being a lot of excitement last year when we were here in the fall, so I don't expect this year to be much different. Lots of Cup regulars in this one. Unfortunately, I think they're going to dominate this one too.

22 Logano
7 Smith
54 Ky. Busch

No jon wes townley. I say 0 entertainment cautions then. Quite a few guys have had trouble keeping a car straight here at day time since the repave, especially in Xfinity practice so I'm betting on legit cautions.

Race day. I won't get to watch though because the NBC sports app won't load anything up without crashing. Plus Oklahoma plays at 230.

Looks like the 9 is going to a backup. Nice save by the 2 during qualifying as well.

Chase is not looking so good, but last time I left him off he nearly won. Maybe I shouldn't pick him

1. Chase Elliott
2. Pyle Buschit
3. Joey Logano

Well, the update that came out about 30 min ago for the NBC app works so I'll be able to watch the race after all! Caught the tail end of Sprint Cup practice as I was seeing if it would work or not.

Those lap 49 penalties musta taken a little wind out of your sales, eh Duane?

lap 58: Both Roush guys benefit from the caution for a hot dog wrapper

Well I win this one. Narrowly got past Brent by virtue of Regan Smith finishing ahead of Chase Elliott. Brent, I thought you had me there for a good chunk of the last part of the race. I thought Butch might have me as well until Harvick fell back.

On a side note, because the race was actually during the day and not an evening or night race, this is the first time in a while now that I've managed to have it scored the day of.

We don't race again till 3 weeks from today at Texas. Only 3 Xfinity races left in the season. I'd be very surprised if Buescher did not win the Championship at this point of the season. Had Regan Smith not had a rough stretch right before he went on his tear, he might be right there but that's just too many points to make up for him or Chase Elliott and Buescher is a very good driver. I think we'll be hearing his name for a while down the road once he makes his jump to the Cup series.
