Thumbs up Pocono 8/1/10 @ 1 PM Sunday

My driver has the pole!! Pablo 2nd so hopefully Tony gets a few car lengths ahead before he "loses it" again. Followed by Hamlin, Gordon, and Newman, pretty good lineup.

Well, its great to have active participants in the weekly Nascar thread, but where are the picks?

It's tough to best against the Hamster here. He won his first 2 races on this track. He won the last one (and wrecked the car during the burnout - awesome!) A few guys specialize in flat tracks - Pocono is like a fast triangular road course. Maybe we'll see better results out of Hornish, Kahne and Ambrose too. Martin hasn't won here. Junior was fast in practice. Not usually a really exciting race with many cautions, but its usually good for a least one big wreck!

I dunno who's gonna make the Chase, but Peblo handed Junior a devasting blow last week. I hope that idiot finishes last. I don't know why people think the clown can wheel a car because I can't think of anyone who blown it more. Who's harder on equipment (every teams equipment)? What driver thinks there better then Peblo thinks he is? That guy should be homeless.

1. Dale Jr!
2. Mark Martin (a bridesmaid again)
3. Hammy Hamlin

1st caution: Paul Menard
Last: Michael McDowell
# of cautions: 6

Biggest, best wreck of the day: Peblo, Peblo, Peblo!

As of lap 45 - no one has caused a caution yet (there was a "competition caution" on lap 15). Todd Bodine makes up the laps he needed to put Michael MacDowell, who is out of the race, into last position. My first correct pic....

Lap 146: Junior comes off pit row 1st after taking 2 tires. It was just another debris caution - nobody to blame yet. Peblo didn't come in - he had an unscheduled green flag stop a few laps ago - so Peblo's got the lead, Junior 2nd! So a little excitement sets in, but a very boring race I admit. Rain threaten to end this early....

Lap 157 - Junior causes the first caused caution!!!! He was running back in 16th at the time. When he spun he didn't seem to hit anything...
