Picks/Watkins Glen/Sun Afternoon

The portion of the track you're referring to can be run in Forza 4... with the "carousel" corner. You went up to two hills and as you went down into what's NASCAR 5 and 6, you hook a right (you can see this in the broadcast if you look closely) and you made a hard right, the a sweeping left turn onto the drag strip where you would race into what's NASCAR 6, make a hair pin turn, then run dwon the S's in to the hairpin near pit road and back up the track.
Watkins Glen has a similar carousel that NASCAR doesn't run. After the teams go through the "bus stop chicane" (the infamous right-left-left-right) before going through what I guess tehy call a carousel, the teams would then make a left instead of going down that long straightaway to the last two corners. They go through a sweeping turn that leads back to the straightaway where they head to the last two corners.
AFter Pony Ste-farts and Lewis Hamilton did that test session where they drove each others cars, Mr. Stefart suggested to NASCAR that they run the "Boot" at Watkins Glen. NASCAR said they would consider it but they used that area for souvenieir rigs and kiosks and mess.
Maybe these maps make more sense...
This is the "long course" at Sonoma map.
Vs. Watkins Glen, where the "boot" is between sections F and H and kind of juts to the bottom right of the photo
As you can see, the boot opens up about three new "passing zones"

I'm gonna have to look at who's running the nationwide before I make any picks Duane. I do enjoy the long course in Forza 4 and have even take the game's cup cars on there (although I usually take either my 70Z28 or my IROC on that one). I want to say Gran Turismo 5 has Watkins Glen, but it's been so long since I sold my PS3 (kept GT5 for when I buy another) that I don't remember off hand.

For the nationwide race:
Regan Smith
Sam Hornish Jr
Brad K
Duane, would be easier to start a separate "for fun" thread for the nationwide races in the future? Hell, I might be willing to handle that one for you if you need.

It might be fun to do that. Then maybe have a league and keep points too? I'm just not going to run two of these things all the time. If uou want you could definitely start making threads for these things though. I made a YouTube video a year back or so on how to do this with a spreadsheet and make life easier
