Lol I'll pass. I'm just saying that after seeing someone get shot 8 times and still coming, well that kinda makes you not trust a round for your own defense. That happened to a buddy of mine in Iraq. They lit a guy up with a 9mm and he was still coming till the guy with the 7.62mm M240B machine gun swung around and took care of the problem.

We can **** balistics and stories all day long... but he didn't pull out a .40 caliber rifle and shoot the guy... the stories I've read from things like the FBI ballistics research, police research, etc., no pistol caliber has the ability to knock someone down in one shot. I've seen photos of a guy who was shot like 8 times with a .223 and about 5 times with a .40 and a couple of more 9mm... took 4-5 minutes for him to bleed out and die so the cops could come in and get him.

I saw another video of a cop who took cover behind his car.. .he shot a guy twice with a .40 and the other man took a rifle and hit the cop 10 times... the cop died later at the hospital and the guy with the two .40s in his chest drove away form the scene.... survived.

I'ts all about shot placement.... All you going to do with a pistol is hopefully make the guy run theo ther way. Having more shots to get more blood out of someone or make them runaway is the key in my opinion... that's why I have a 9 and not a 40. My gun carries 13 9mm rounds ,only 9 in the .40... that seems too big a swing, usually it's only 2 rounds or so difference. If I could get 10-11 .40s in my pistol I would probably hve the .40. I wouldn't caryr a .45 just because you don't have nearly enough rounds.....

Oh, one more point... I believe according to the Geneva Convention, militaries only use FMJ rounds, not hollow points. I don't really trust a 9mm FMJ either. But I've compared the difference in an FMJ round, the 115 grain federal hollowpoint, and a 135 grain Hornady Critical Defense Flexlock round in plywood... and I always load with the Hornaday...

It's designed to pass all FBI penetration tests.... and I know it will knock a big whole in plywood where a hollowpoint or FMJ get stuck in the board...

I'll opt for the 40, I had a 9 and heard the 40 has better take down power, I just hope I can pass the background check..... The 40 I'm currently looking at has a 15 rd capacity......

But are you going to be able to conceal carry a 15 round .40 cal?
