Picks/Kansas/Sat Night
This week, all the accolades go to P343 Barbara, who won Talladega, opens up the Segment leading the points, and is leading the overall points!! What a big moment for her!
Also, I do believe my colleague on the Xfinity side, Drew, will get this week off as I believe they return in 2 weeks on a Sunday afternoon in Iowa. Trucks and Cup are in Kansas?
Also note that I will be refraining from picking for this race for 3 reasons.
1) I will be in Williamsburg, VA with my girlfriends family during the race. For this reason as well, I will not be doing the math until Sunday afternoon/Sunday evening.
2) I have an extreme disdain for the sponsor of this race. The character is seriously shown to hinder development in children.
3) The track doesn't deserve 2 races. Sorry. There are far too many of these 1.5 mile cookie cutters where mediocrity reigns.
So I just can't bring myself to pick for it. I'll see you guys in Charlotte!! Have fun in Kansas!

Duane is correct that there is no Xfinity race this week. Next up is Iowa a week from Saturday. Still have time for the models to come together, but weather may play a role in the race on Saturday. I may be chasing storms in Kansas either Saturday or Sunday (or both) as well.

Well Drew, NASCAR did decide to allow a sponge who lives in the ocean to sponsor the race.... so I'm not sure exactly what else they expected.

Well, that's pretty weird Duane. But I do agree with you about Sponge Bob. My daughter loves Sponge Bob and is living proof that watching it lowers the attention span in children. Sadly, there are other kids shows that are even worse. I don't like the sponsor either, but I'm over it. I'm actually looking forward to seeing the cool special paint scheme's of Bifle, MacDowell, Ragan and Mears.

They added Ty Dillon to the special SpongeBob paints schemes roster - so 5 SpongeBob Sprint Cup cars this weekend. Somebody be sure to get Duane the diecast collection for Christmas

Kansas City I have been there several times nice track, but it is just like Vegas and Michigan.
