Picks/Indy/Sunday Afternoon
Yeah, that was a guy who needed to be fired. Lots of pink slips went out this week from the NASCAR world... pink slips to the right people seems to be the order of the year... can't count on both hands how many people have been cut free, moved around, etc. since the end of last season. Lance McGrew needs to be gone. Some crew cheifs are known for keeping up with the track, some are known for types of tracks, some are known for their relationships with certain drivers... McGrew is known for keeping great drivers down with cars that are hopelessly behind the curve in practice and on raceday.
Seems to be alot of common picks this week, so I'm gonna prove why I suck at fantasy games and go opposite. I'm either gonna hit it big or stay in the back... I'm sticking with the same teams, but different drivers...

I've been holding out for weeks to pick, hoping that Jr. could change my mind. But he didn't, qualifying 22nd - worse then any practice he had. So I ain't pickin' him - even though he so desperately needs it - but it goes without saying that if he can win this one, nobody wanted it more then me. Martin qualified 12th, but I ain't pickin' him either. Nobody want him to win more then me either....
This is so Jimmie Johnson kinda stuff and he will deliver. I see those 2 Dodges are up there, but BradK always chooses the week I pick him to crap off. I know he does it to spite me. I have high hopes for Brad, but this week I'll:
1. Jimmie Johnson
2. Kurt Busch
3. A.J. Allmendinger (and if he win's, nobody wanted him to win more...)

Okay... so I don'tk now if I'm going or not, but I may be heading up to Norfolk to check out a '79 Ford Supercab long bed truck.... if that happens, I won't be back until like 10:00 this evening....
So, I'll try to post again when I know for sure one way or another... if I am not here, and you guys want to know how ti went down, here is the easiest way (for me) to figure it out.
Pull up a Microsoft Spreadsheet... in column A, enter the users name. In columns B, C, and D, go on NASCAR.com several minutes after the race, scan the forum for their picks, and enter the points in their respective orders in those columns. In column E, enter this formula: =(B1+C1+D1). Once everyone is totaled up, go to Tools, then sort, then sort by Column E in descending order. Double check the figures, then post them to the forum! I have my own spreadsheets for each race and the points standings and will go back behind you and make another spreadsheet anyway... you cna use similar formulas and figure out the Segment 3 Points (just last week plus this week at this point), and the overall points standings. I will be back sometime to make everything official.
So enjoy the race... if I'm not watching it, I'll be trying to find it on the radio... Indianapolis has their own race broadcasters, so sometimes you can't find them on the radio stations that carry MRN and PRN.
