I think for about the first time in 2 years, I'm going to pick the Daytona 500 with my head instead of one of my gimics!!

With Harvick's strength, I'm going to say there are too many people in that boat and if it sinks, a lot of people are going down with it. While I do believe that Harvick is currently the odds on favorite, history and the hype just tell me that Harvick won't win the Daytona 500. No one has ever swept Speedweeks... so I'm goign to bet it stays that way.

I think Biffle has a really strong car. Kenseth did too, but everyone was scared to do it.

The Chevrolets are just so strong right now too. But I'm not pickign one!

I'm going to go down in the Daytona 500 with....

1) Kyle Busch
2) Matt Kenseth
3) Greg Biffle

Heres a little change of strategy on my part for the 2013 season.
Despite my Dislike of the yotas.. The cars are now more "Driver" oriented.

Dont be shocked if you happen to see me throw a yota driver in here and there throughout the season...

Going off of conversation in the Duals thread, the racing style with the new Gen 6 car is reminiscent of the 90's and I don't not like it. I can say Harvick seems to be one of a few that has been able to work the bottom and I do agree that the majority has probably been somewhat conservative thus far. I absolutely hated the COT two car tandem racing; dumbest thing ever. At least we're past that.

Worth mentioning that:

Keelan in the 29 prior to a race = 2/2. Do it again.

Harvick is starting next to his best buddy Kyle. *I actually found the starting lineup on Nascar's own website. Imagine that.

My Daytona 500 picks are staying the same.

A lot of people said there wasn't enough passing and action in the late 90's and they put that roof bar on the car and changed the spoilers... made the cars mroe dicey, changed the closing rates, and really screwed with the air flow on the cars. It resulted in the 2001 Daytona 500, with Tony Stewart barell rolling down the straightaway and the death of Dale Earnhardt.

I like your picks. #18 car is a good choice. When I choose the 18 he blows a engine or crashes. Can't go there. #20 car looks good also for a top 5. #16 feeling nothing there.
