RCR I think Is strong this year

 

If they have 2 cars in the top 15 in points when we get to Texas, I'll cede to your point, Jerry. Until then, I don't think RCR is strong. Restricter plate wins are a whole different ball game.

remember that time Kenseth won the Daytona 500 in '09? They won the next week in California, and didn't win again all year.

Sticking to the "Ford Thunderbird" theme... here is a Ford advertisement from 1985 that leaned heavily on the Thunderbirds prowess in Daytona.




Ford bragged about how fast their car was, how they won the qualifying race by 2 miles, how they set the pole, how they won the race...


And this was before 1986, when eh set the 210 mph qualifying record at Daytona....
