Most cars ran laps in first practice, but only 17 turned laps in final practice.... the teams claimed that once the cars are right, there is no need to go out and keep putting laps on teh engine and risk crashing a good car....

A bridge in Bethany, OK



One of my favorite sections of Route 66... this concrete section that runs between El Reno, OK to the state line, going through several towns, and actually continues through Texas for a while.






Here is my nieces teddy bears and my Torino at a Conoco station... it's now the Chamber of Commerce for Shamrock, TX, and was the building they based Ramone's on in the Disney movie Cars.


And I ate at the Big Texan!!!


Didn't try the 72 oz steak, but I loved this piece of cake...
