I never thoguht this many people would go all in. I figured maybe 1-2 a week... now it's becoming a regular thing and it's just not as fun as I thought it would be.
More risk takers on this forum than I thought there were.... revisions are in order!
AS far as Stewarts incident at Phoenix when his engine wouldn't refire, I am referring to that, but the Penske cars had issues at LAs Vegas too..... and I don't think there were issues at Daytona. Fontana is a track that usually has fuel mileage factored in so we may see some issues here, but I odn't really anticipate any.

I'm learning that more and more each day trying to keep this NASCAR Fantasy running properly. I'm probably goign to get rid of all in rule next week and set it up so you can only pick the same guy twice, so you pick three times and have to have a minimum two different drivers on your team. Just way too much all in and if someone else wnats the same guy, they just can't get him. Putting two guys on the team makes you have to study a little more, but still lets you gamble.
But it's really too late to do anything about this week. Martinsville is another tale though.

So are you saying for example...if someone picks say dale jr before i do...I have to change my pick to another driver? Cause he was already chosen?.....If thats the case theres gonna be a lot of guys that may not vote for anyone else.....
Or is it that i dont comprehend when i read?

I hope not!!!! If thats the case. There can not be any changing. If I want 14 14 48 but somebody else already picked 14 I could not pick the 14. Then the 14 smashes in practice and has a bad back up car. Now that person that originaly picked the 14 will change cars. Now nobody gets 14. What If I wanted him? We all would have to keep our eyes peeled to this thread of the forum or we can all get dooped. Plus. Who wants to go back and check if somebody changed there picks and by rule could they? This would turn into a big mess. Especially for the one saying who can and who cant change at what time and when. Or infact did it happen. On and on and on. If you realy want to make it interesting. Have us PM our picks. With a time limit, 24 hours before schedualed green flag. Announce the line up when you get to it. Once you choose. No changing! I believe this will spark alot of conversations for the week. A lot of fainting on picks. False feelins of the race. You know. Head games. There all in fun and fun fun fun! Just my thoughts

No, you get the same points. Both of you score the same points regardless. However, the difference is should there be a tie for the victory ,the guy who posted it first gets the credit for the victory, with the other guy tying him for the win with equal points for the race and in the standings. You can pick the same, but you just won't get credit for a victory. It's the tiebreaker rule. For example, if the two winners both pick the same drivers in a different order and comem up in a tie, the win goes to whoever's pick #1 finishes ahead. Then the #2, then the #3. If they were all the same, then the tie breaker for the victory went to whoever posted their picks first. That has been the rule a year. With the all in, it is becoming more controversial, but in reality, it has been the same all the time.
So if Brent picks Dale Jr three times on Monday,a nd Dale Jr wins the race. On Wednesday, Stumpmi posts Jr three times. Jr still won the race.
JuniorCar 48 48 48 144
Stumpmi 48 48 48 144
Tie goes to teh guy who posted first. Both score the same, but only one guy gets credit for a win, we don't share victory lane in these parts!!!
It's not like you don't get scored... you just don't get to win. That's what we were getting at last week. Since several people had made certain posts that were the same for someone else, so you couldn't win, no matter what, just tie them in points.
What I had done last week was taken
1) Greg Biffle
2) Greg Biffle
3) Carl Edwards (this one was revised)
I got cornered and could never win because someone had gone all in Biffle and someone else had gone all in Edwards. So if Edwards won the race, someone got 144 points for Edwards, and had Biffle finished first, that person got 144 points. Where as had the other finished 2nd...
It would have been the all in guy
1) 03JGMonte 48 48 48 144
2) Cowboy6622 48 48 44 140
That's why I could never have won in the situation. I get points, but I can't win.

almost as complicated as Duanes definition of NASCAR which I couldn't find after searching the last couple race picks threads......
It always was complicated, as we have had 2 guys pick the same 3 different drivers before too. But never in the same order and that is when the order takes precident. But no need to go into that now - the confusion is driving people crazy.
I'm in favor of changing the rule. And I'd lose the "double down" too. It'll be a problem eventually. But I would suggest we ride the rule out until the end of the segment

My definition of NASCAR? Not Administering Systematic Calls At Races?
In my mind, all of this makes sense. I need to figure out how to explain all of this in a way that makes sense....
I'm not above reverting back to the old rule of three different drivers either.
And what is the confusion about? The tiebreaker rule or repealing the "all in" part of the rule? I'm thinking there will be a change one way or another at Martinsville. The question is whether I just repeal "All in" or if I repeal "Double down" with it and go back to the old "pick three, any three" rule.
I'll make a separate thread for discussion and analysis of what we should do now that we have run this rule for 4 weeks going on 5. It can be found below
