'Space's picks look really good, but I'll come up with some others. Really tho, I was think those same 3.
I've been to Watkins Glen once way back in '94. I'll always remember the year because Woodstock '94 was on at the same time only a few miles away - we felt the traffic. Its a crappy race to go and see in person. I imagine its a bit better these days, but back then there was no jumbotron or any monitors. We sat in the first corner and a tiny little "grandstand" (more like high school football field bleachers) and saw virtually nothing. I spent racing time shopping at the concessions and scored a cool Smokin' Joe's Racing Jimmie Spencer leather hat. I didn't even like Jimmie Spencer but he had cool merchandise. That was the only race that I was ever at that Mark Martin won, but I wasn't even a fan yet.
Picks - well, Junior will not win today. He did have a good run at Infineon until Carl spun him at the end, so he's not that bad on a road course. But he won't win. I expect to see Kyle Busch strangle himself. I was disappointed that Gilliland didn't make the race - he has impressed me on road courses. Boris Said is the Dale Jr. of road course racing - everybody knows he's good and has high expectations of him, but he never gets the results. Something always goes wrong for Boris. Kasey Kahne has shown flashes a road course brilliance last few races.
It'll be a good race with a change of pace, but I'm still picking a repeat of 1994
1. Mark Martin
2. Kasey Kahne
3. Marcos Ambrose
