Default NASCAR New Years Resolution

These by Joe Menzer, reposted from NASCAR.com

With 2011 now upon us, it's time to reflect a little on 2010 and offer up some New Year's resolution suggestions that may prove helpful if the following NASCAR drivers decide to take these not-so-subtle hints.

So, with that in mind and no further ado, away we go ...
Blowout Sale!

A.J. Allmendinger should resolve to write one of the best stories of the new year by finally getting the No. 43 car back to Victory Lane for embattled but resilient Richard Petty Motorsports.

Marcos Ambrose should resolve to never, ever again turn off his engine going up a hill on a road course in an effort to conserve fuel.

Clint Bowyer should resolve to wave off the tow truck the next time it comes to push him to Victory Lane.

Greg Biffle should resolve to make good on his prediction to win four to six races next season and contend for a championship.

Jeff Burton should resolve to wear sunglasses next time a caution comes out at Texas Motor Speedway -- so, um, the sun doesn't get into his eyes and cause him to run into Jeff Gordon again.

Kurt Busch should resolve to have a real sense of humor and more patience and compassion for other people, especially when they're just trying to do their jobs.

Kyle Busch should resolve to stay away from Denny Hamlin, his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, when they're competing against each other in the Sprint All-Star Race.

Kevin Conway should resolve not to boast too loudly about winning a watered-down rookie of the year award.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. should resolve to remember the joy he felt after winning this past July's Nationwide Series race at Daytona, and to somehow, finally find a way to repeat it at the Sprint Cup level.

Carl Edwards should resolve to never again intentionally ram into the back of someone going nearly 200 mph down a straightaway, no matter what he thinks that driver has done to him.

Jeff Gordon should resolve to finally start winning races again.

Denny Hamlin should resolve to give his crew chief, Mike Ford, a nudge -- or a muzzle -- next time Ford begins to call out the No. 48 race team in a post-race news conference.

Kevin Harvick should resolve to build on his career-high third-place finish in the point standings while remembering how fortunate he was to never really have a viable option to leave Richard Childress Racing before signing a new contract this past spring.

Jimmie Johnson should resolve to let someone else win the Cup championship for a change; then again, why not go for a sixth consecutive title and at least make 'em earn it?

Kasey Kahne should resolve to finish what he starts this season.

Matt Kenseth should resolve to do something totally whacko, so folks will remember he's still out there and still highly competitive despite usually flying low under the radar.

Brad Keselowski should resolve to keep on telling it like he thinks it is -- while driving with a little more awareness of what's happening around him.

Bobby Labonte should resolve to drive well enough to keep JTG Daugherty Racing from becoming irrelevant.

Joey Logano should resolve to grow some facial hair and convince his dad to stay on the sidelines so everyone will begin taking him a little more seriously.

Mark Martin should resolve to go out in his final season driving the No. 5 car for Hendrick Motorsports the same way he came in during 2009, and not the disappointing way he staggered through 2010.

Jamie McMurray should resolve to come through on the popular prediction that he'll make the Chase after winning three races and narrowly missing out on it this past season.

Paul Menard should resolve to add a personality to his portfolio, perhaps by pretending he really does have a sponsor that he needs to answer to.

Juan Montoya should resolve to finally win a race on an oval.

Ryan Newman should resolve to find a way to have his race results more closely match his qualifying efforts.

David Ragan should resolve to do something before David Ragan passes from being that can't-miss prospect to the answer of a bad trivia question.

David Reutimann should resolve to get along a little better with Kyle Busch.

Regan Smith should resolve to keep on plowing ahead until more folks notice what a nice job he's doing driving the No. 78 Chevrolet for underrated, overachieving Furniture Row Racing.

Tony Stewart should resolve to be nice and charming more often, and the total opposite of those far less often.

Martin Truex Jr. should resolve to become something a little more than simply the best fisherman in the Cup garage.

Brian Vickers should resolve to remember to enjoy every single moment of every single day in his life, before, during and after he gets to climb in a race car again (and even if, for some currently unforeseen reason, he doesn't get to).

NASCAR should have a resolution to get rid of Toyota ! LOL! Then they could truly call it NASCAR. So what - if some Toyotas are made in the USA. They money still goes back overseas! Just my opinion!

yea, I gotta agree, the Toyota thing is not doing it for me either...
I guess because they drop a V-8 in the Tundra, that is there golden ticket to the big show.... How does that work exactly?
