That whole starting 3rd thing is enough to get me rev'd up! Pocono is a very flat large track which is typically won by the fastest car (thats not always the case). But I will never pick that ******** on the pole ("Killer"). Now that qualifying is done, Junior is poised and I'm gettin' behind him! I would have otherwise picked Hamlin, who won his first 2 races at this track and quoting video game practice as his training for the track. Crazy huh? That theory probably puts Logano in a good spot too, but did you know that Junior really is the king of internet video game racing? He is ranked #1 (out of thousands) on iRacing where he has won something like 80% of all his simulated races, and I guess he's on there a lot. Neat, huh?
I also think it really cool that Geoff Bodine is in this race in the #36 car. I hope they aren't planning on starting-and-parking. When I was just a kid Geoff was my favorite driver. He was also the first driver for the one car start up operation (they were all one car operations back in the mid-eighties) owned by Rick Hendrick.

my picks:
1. Dale Jr. (the place will come unglued)
2. Denny Hamlin
3. Jeff Gordon

Race to the garage (last): Micheal McDowell (again!)
First caution cause: Sam Hornish (one should do it this week)
# of cautions: 6

It won't be the most exciting race, but Junior winning will make the day worth it. Don'cha dare miss it!

...Thanks `Brent for your post/pic's & commentary : )
I always enjoy reading your posts and who you pick : ).

I would love 2 see Jr win one...He is long overdue 4-Sure...
I was going to pick him, but I did not want 2 jinx him...Seems
that every time I pick him to win, he wrecks , so I did not
post him 2 win : )

I don't have cable, but I will tune in on the Radio...
Hope you and member's that still like NASCAR enjoy the race....I hope it does not turn in2 a fuel mile Race : (

I'll watch, I think? I've been there before? me and a friend went, he had free tickets (pitt passes from interstate batteries) but he lost them on the walk to the track? I drove a honda civic that had no reverse in it, it was a day to remember! we drank a few cans of keystone light beer (nasty) I believe I was wearing a #11 bill elliott budweiser t-shirt (ford)? it was something to remember for sure?? and I got fried from the July sun, I looked like a lobster! I remember seeing ted musgrave in his #16 car (family channel)? it was my first ever nascar race and pretty much all I remember was the car colors, they looked awesome??

I still have a life size standee of Bill in his Bud gear with Junior Johnson. Dale Jr. has yet to surpass Million Dollar Bill for Most Popular Driver awards.
