LOL. The more you post, the more I like you!
I don't like NASCAR either, but I don't find anything cool about the crashes. People die from them, how can that be cool?

Haha thanks man, Im sorry, I didnt mean to say they are cool, but there are some crazycrashes that I have seen, my Uncle is a huge Nascar fan and says one of the main reason people watch it is because of the crashes. Maybe thats his reasoning for wathcing it I dont know.
I feel you!

And there is alot of strategy and planning that goes into these races, it's definitely not just some tool steering a car around a track for 17 million laps

i think the best thing nascar has ever done was to tell chevy that the lumina is not a race car i seriously think nascar is the reason monte carlos will be in production for a very long time
Chevy obviously doesn't have a problem with axing cars that have been in production a long time, look at the camaro. And the camaro is more of a race car than the monte is.

but the monte carlo is the winningest car in nascar history i mean look nascar didnt like the lumina and they wanted the monte back so chevy brought it back monte carlos are nascars period. there is no other reason for them to be around. i know they got ride of the camero quick but where were its roots. just going fast in general was all its roots were. i wouldnt have wanted a monte carlo if it werent for the fact that they were related to nascar plain and simple i would have rather had a rwd car but im a nascar guy and im a chevy guy so i got a monte no questions asked. i just think the way nascar reacted when chevy got ride of the monte and brought the lumina showed chevy not to do it again but thats my opinion and you dont have to think so

I could care less about NASCAR and all that crap, I was simply stating how Chevy can and will discontinue a model regardless of how long it's been in production.

Maybe someday NASCAR will tell Chevy the Monte isn't a race car either and we'll get a rear wheel V8 worth a **** that doesn't cost 50g's... I love my 02' Intimidator SS, but seriously, Monte Carlos have always been Chevy's "luxory" car... it's the Cadillac of Chevrolet, but as for being a race car, it's always sucked rear tit to the Vette, Camaro, Chevelle, Nova, etc...

The only car in NASCAR based on a car worth racing is the Charger... V8, RWD... vs. V6 and FWD. Obviously they're all RWD V8's in NASCAR, but I don't have 150,000.00 to spend on a stock car...

Somehow I think if I were to refer to my Monte as a 'race car' around my Camaro buddies I'd get embarrassed... now my Chevelle, on the other hand..........

True, it is, but the Camaro sales were horrid compared to the Mustang... of course when they were costing $10,000 more new... I can see why. But as I've always said... you get what you pay for... I'd take a 4th Gen F-Body over any Rustang. But anyways, they didn't really chop it for no reason... they chopped it because they weren't selling very well...

I didn't say they chopped it for no reason, I said they don't have a problem axing cars that have been in production for a long time.

I know, but typically with a car having longevity such as the Camaro, (and for kicking as much *** as it did) for it to be axed abruptly as such is a tragedy... some people don't know why it was canned, so I was just stating that it wasn't cancelled just because. I just had to toss in my personal two penny complaint about it's price.

I guess Chevy felt, given the other choice for an American muscle car, that people would still buy it regardless. Guess that backfired.

Definitely... it's mostly the 20 year olds that want those kinds of cars, and it's the 20 year olds that can't afford a 30,000.00 car...
