I love road racing and always have... got this video taken my by scared girlfriend going around Virginia International Raceawy... she contained herself well for the video footage, she was literally shaking though. Thank goodness for tripods!

 

Along with my prior video, it was a true honor to finally win this thing! It was a tough weekend - I hadn't won in several months in either series, and I haven't won since I moved to my new apartment with my girlfriend either!

Watkins Glen is one I've been close to winning every year. The year the big show down between Keselowski and Ambrose took place, I had Stewart, who was running 3rd before an accident with about 20-25 to go that day. Then a year or so back, I was in the running when Ambrose broke a sway bar link and crashed his car.

Plus, just like Logano this week, I was right there last week with 1-2-6 about to win Pocono, and my top two run out of gasoline! Then to come into this week...

Yesterday, I was running 1-2-3 when the first caution flew... then the 12 car had the gas can stick, the 60 was on the "wrong strategy" and then later in the race, the 22 sped on pit road... and rallyed to finish 1-2-3, in part thanks to Ty Dillon knocking out everyone elses picks!

Today, I was running well, like 1-2-4 at the caution on lap 28 and when all the chaos began, and of my 3 the first one was like 14th, I sat here and thought "here we go again, I lost another one." But today, my team wasn't to be denied!


Thanks for giving me the privilege to race against you guys. My second "minor leauge" road course win after Mid-Ohio last year, then sweeping the weekend nad getting my second win of the year on the cup side, along with my 3rd Xfinity win!






Now I have one of two things to do... I need to win a cup series restricter plate race to finish up a sweep for my career on the track types... or, I can win on an intermediate in any series and have a sweep across the two series of the 4 track types. Can I do it??
