ANybody old enough to remmeber that time Dale Earnhardt Sr fell asleep at Darlington in like 1997? They woke him up, he took off, then bounced off teh walls like 4 times before missing his pit stall like 2 different times before they got him out of the car and to the hospital....
And Denny can't race becasue his neck is sore?

Dale Earnhardt Sr. did a lot of amazing, crazy and funny things throughout his racing career, but one of the things that sicks out in my mind was during a race at Richmond, Dale radioed into Richard Childress and said "I can't see outta my windshield".
Richard Childress said "I hate to loose all of that track position", Dale answered back "Hold on I'm going to be off of the radio for a while". What Dale Sr. did next was sit on the edge
of the door while steering the Wrangler sponsored Monte Carlo Aero Coupe with his knee, as he washed his own damn windshield off. Here's a quick video for you to enjoy as Dales old pit crew member

I remember that Duane. Anyone think that Dale Jr. might mention his Dad helped him get where he is in the the Nationwide commercial? Not Dale bashing here as I like him. it just occurred to me earlier. Now if Gordon can stay one lap down and get lucky dog I might have a shot at this thing...

I can't imagine that Sr undoing his belts to clean his windshield was ever actually legal. It sure wouldn't be today - you can't even pull your belts off after wrecking. But I don't think it was then either...

WTF! Landon Cassill was 80 laps down running dead last and leader Kyle Larson hooked him and put him in the wall. What the hell was that about?!? This is a crazy race! I can't help but laugh now...

As exciting as this race has been, this might be the worst tv coverage I have seen in recent years. Larson was leading before that commercial and when they returned he was down a lap. They have yet to even discuss this. This is only one example. I feel like they missed the entire race. Every wreck they have shown was a replay....
