Jayski's site is like my bible.
I gotta get my picks in now, while I'm @ work. The network @ home has been down and who know when it'll work again. This might mess up reporting but I'm sure nobody will die.
But first, how about tonights Nationwide race ?!? This is, perhaps, the most anticipated Nationwide race of all time! Debuting the "Next generation" car (the return of the Mustang and the Challenger to Nascar) and Dale Jr. in the #3 Wrangler car (which I think looks awesome BTW). Danica's in there too, but I really think Junior can win this race. He is still the best at Daytona IMO. He was the class of the field in the Nationwide race at Daytona in the spring (and the Sprint Cup race too) until Carl took him out. Versus these plugs - er... lesser experienced drivers, this should be a walk in the park for Junior.
The Coca-Cola 400. Junior's gonna win that one too. I'm less confident about this, but he is still a Daytona master. My other picks are even less conventional. AJ Allmendinger really impressed me in the spring. His race was also ended to early, but he is very due and Daytona can be a crap shoot. I was also impressed by Reutimann, who drives a weak race and likes to show up at the end. He usually finishes well at Daytona and in the spring 500 race he would have pushed Junior to victory (or passed him for the win) if he hadn't gotten pinched between Hamlin and Bowyer. Reutimann has been overlooked and deserves a lot of credit for Junior last lap rally in the Daytona 500 - he knew who he needed to get behind and he'll be there at the end again!
1. Dale Jr!!!
2. AJ Allmendinger
3. David Reutimann
1st caution: Sam Hornish (this track isn't for open wheel guys who can't drive a car that's loose)
# of cautions: 11
First to the garage (last): Dave Blaney (qualifying is just starting as of this post, but I'm confident my guy will make the field and waste the spot)

I was wrong about Danica being in there - what a bad reporter!
But an awesome outcome to an otherwise boring race last night. One of the definative moments of Juniors career. Eury Jr. was really choked-up (quote: "We lost it all here...") and that set my wife in tears too.
Tonight Jr wins one for himself...
The internet is still down @ home so I won't be reporting. Sorry.
DAMN - I wish I had 3d! I can't believe I'm going to miss this. The said it would be years before they were ready...

after an hour and half delay, we are racing boys and girls!! I tried the Racebuddy thing but it was really slowing my computer down I'm sure it would be good if you weren't able to watch, but I got it on, so no Racebuddy for me:p
