#8 less than 2 years later
I thought Aric's name was pronounced like Eric ("air-ick").
How is it supposed to be pronounced?
Personally, I would like to see Aric given another number. Give him Paul Menard's old 15 car. Let the #8 car be known as Dale Jr's. But that's more of a personal thing since it kind of irks me that I'm driving a Monte with Aric Almirola's number on it. Which is the reason I'm going to order my personal plate next week. Don't want to reveal it yet and potentially have someone swipe it out from under me. But it will have a mention of Dale Earnhardt Jr.

i agree with you about driving a car with almirola's number on it. i bought my car like 2 weeks before stewart announced he was leaving gibbs. i get more comments about joey logano now than i care to deal with. but such is life. i have thought about getting a vanity plate as well something with "Smoke" in it, but my current plate has been in my family for something like 30 years and my mom always had it on her car so i'd hate to give it up. can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve for the plate. love the new sig pic by the way!!
The sig is actually my original sig that Black Attack (Craig) made for me. I changed it up for a little while with the tasmanian devil picture, just for a little change. But got the urge to go back to the original about a week ago.
I thought about the Joey Logano thing when Tony announced his leaving Gibbs. I thought about all the Tony Stewart edition owners being in the same boat as the Dale Jr edition owners. One of the down sides of owning a signature series Monte with a living driver's name and number on it. Drivers can (and do) change numbers during their career. Sure people know and remember #20 as Tony; and #8 as Dale Jr. But let's say over the next ten years, the #20 car and the #8 car go through a multitude of different drivers. How many people, ten years from now, will remember #20 as Tony and #8 as Dale. Hell, for that matter. How many people know that the Dale Sr's father drove the #8 car?
As for "Ah-ric"...
That kinda sounds European. Hmm. Let's see. How about Taz pronounced "tahz" (rhimes with oz). Or KidSpace's new pronunciation. Space. Pronounced "sposs". Or my favorite, the Italian pronunciation: "spah-chay". Let's see. "Kid Spah-chay".

i like it
spah-chay! hahaha. it's hard to describe how i meant it, i guess i meant "arr-rick", but your way is funnier
i know what you mean about the numbers though. i went to subway the other night and as i was leaving, the kid sweeping the floor asked me what the #20 on the back of my car meant (the magnet i had on the trunk). i told him it used to be tony stewart's number when that car came out, and he looked at me like i had 3 heads. i just said he's a nascar driver. he smiled and said so does the #20 make it go faster? i told him no, but the horses under the hood do. but trying to explain it in 10 years ought to be TONS of fun.
