Seeing as how the SS is the Holden Commodore I believe its understandable that it be sold as a sedan.


Although with a name like Chevrolet SS I would expect it to be a coupe. My only guess is that they don't want prospective buyers of the Camaro or Vette maybe steer away from them for a sporty cheaper alternative. Or maybe its just because its easier than having to redesign a bunch of parts for them because the plans are already made up. I really don't know for sure but these are my guesses.

 

Yeah, like Brent said... the team thinks it had a lot to do with the combination of tire compound and cold weather giving the engine a little better speed and the tires more grip.... but they're interested in seeing how the programs develop over time and what we get when we come to Charlotte for the race in May....

 

There gonna be priced the same or more than a camaro so making a coupe wouldnt cut into camaro sales, but gm is anti coupe these days so its only a matter of time before the camaro & vette are 4 doors

 

Its true, but Ford is no better. Gone are 2 door Focus's. I seem to have seen pictures of 2 door Fiesta's, but you can't buy them here. Mustang is Ford's only 2-door, but they've done a pretty good job of never messing up the Mustang formula so it'll likely stay a 2dr.

But I could see GM making a 4-door Camaro or Vette. It seems funny, but I'm crying on the inside
