Monte of the Year Voting THE FINALS!
Congratulation's Brent, you know you barely eeked this win out, that was as AWESOME as all heck. SWEET! Nice come from behind win on the straightway. I relinquish the MOTY title to you so you may carry forth this most honorable position for the year!
You deserved it, you have put a lot of commendable effort into your Monte to make her show worthy and the best on the forum for 2013.
Josh, you young man put up a heck of a fight and can be proud of your accomplishment as the number 2 Monte on the forum for 2013. Sweet, get her all dialed in this year and get back in the running for 2015's shot at the title.

THE LONGEST VICTORY/ ACCEPTANCE SPEECH FOR THE CLOSEST MOTY WIN EVER
Thank you everbody on the Monte Carlo Forum for expanding my dream beyond my own scope. ..Scar'lette... it was a great race that kept me on the edge of my seat and awake at night. That was definitely better than the Super Bowl (if you didn't know, I'm a Broncos fan)! What a roller coaster of emotion! It feels better now that it's over and the tension was well worth it (for me at least)! I thank everyone who voted for the BudChev. The BudChev holds the title, but I needed a lot of help from some great people and this really was a team win! Everyone who voted built this sweet Victory Lane moment.
Unlike most, I will always have my Monte Carlo. It has given me so much. This car really has become part of who I am and I can guarantee you that I will never sell it or part with it baring a catastrophy. Not that there is anything wrong with enjoying a Monte Carlo in passing. Build 'em, blow 'em up and move on is fine for some. And others will need to trade up for reliability as there aren't any new Monte Carlos. I'll always be part of the Monte Carlo community - I'm a lifer. The 2013 Monte of the Year BudChev is here to stay. And this is not a trophy to be tossed into the back of my closet. This is the pinnacle of Monte Carlo ownership.
When I bought my Monte Carlo in 2007, I was not settling. It was exactly the car I wanted (although I wish GM had built it RWD). Many Monte Carlo owners would have prefered a Camaro or Vette or maybe a Cadillac, but went with what they could afford. I wanted the closest body to a NASCAR replica. "Monte Carlo" is the winningest nameplate of all car models in NASCAR history. The 6th Gen Monte Carlo was designed around a NASCAR template, and that's what I needed. I found this one with the perfect paint scheme just ready to be decalled and started fulfilling my dream.
The 2015 MOTM Calendar cover will be the BudChev's 5th calendar. It's was Monte of the Month at PFYC.com November 2008. When I first won a MOTM in May 2009, that wasn't a clean win - I tied supersport2003. I lost the 2009 Monte of the Year contest when I was eliminated in the first round by eventual winner Silverbullit (aka nemesis) and admin Chibi (who was not admin at the time - I'm not even sure if he was a moderator yet). I found solace in beating supersport2003 in that the MOTY contest, even as I lost. In February of 2011 I was CarDomain's (800,000 member strong at the time) Showoff of the Week. That had my email box busy! Until now, that had been the BudChev's crowning achievement. Then, it was almost 4 years before I was on the ballot again for MOTM. I don't remember ever losing MOTM when I was on the ballot. I gotta thank 77GP Jerry for the nomination and support. I thought everyone forgot what an awesome car I have here! I never forgot, but I thought maybe the car seemed kinda dated to some and was losing it's lustre. I hope others can appreciate the feel-good hang-in-there success the BudChev now enjoys. I know how it feels to lose the Monte of the Year contest. And now I just might be the first who knows what it's like to lose and win Monte of the Year, as I believe all previous winners won on the first go around. But there is hope going forward to all the runner-ups now. I'm also glad to be able to step away from any future MOTM contention so I can support others in victory. I kinda felt bad winning a second time, but I did want another crack at the MOTY. That worked out pretty good.
Winning Monte of the Year is so important to me! This is the greatest accolade ever for the BudChev! I know that there are other cars on the forum more deserving of this recognition and most of them will never win MOTY. But the BudChev is deserving too and I highly doubt there is another member who wanted this more.
I'm glowing. I'm rambling... damn, I gotta be the luckiest guy on the planet...
Thank you so much!!!!
