I wish i could have seen all this bickering about the MOTM calender. But since i now have to share a pc, i have to wait till i can jump online.
Now, to the point at hand.
Internet Brands ( the owners of MCF ), have partnered with memberscalenders.com to produce an OFFICIAL calender for Monte Carlos. We were told that we can no longer have the MOTM calender because it will go against what IB is doing. Basically its like this. If there is a way to make money, then they are all over it.
The MOTM calender was made by members here with their own money and with out profit. They received no money for their time and hard work.
TAZ's hands are tied because he has to answer to people above him. Like he said, he has a life OUTSIDE of MCF. I am sure we can ALL relate to that.
You should all look at it this way. Its a privilege to be chosen MOTM and not a right just because you are a member here. It took me a few years before i was even nominated for MOTM let alone win it.
Will there be a MOTM calender nest year? i doubt it cause people bought the OFFICIAL calender and they are making money from it.
Thats my rant for the night. I have other things in my life to worry about then wondering if there is going to be a calender or not.

Just to add something of my own to what JJ said...
I am in the process of trying to work things out with the necessary people to make sure there is a 2012 MOTM calendar. Having an annual MOTM calendar is something I've wanted to do since I joined the site. The 2010 calendar was created by another forum member and myself with no help from the owners (as already mentioned in Popcorn King JJ's post above). Not having a 2011 calendar was a bigger disappointment to me than anyone else. Trust me.
I can't go into great details until things are finalized. But I'm working like hell to make sure there's a 2012 calendar without any problems.
I'm willing to discuss in more detail with anyone who feels I personally screwed them out of their god-given right to be in a calendar. Contact me by PM or email, and I'll be happy to discuss it.

I don't know why this is such a big deal - if you really want a calendar, contact the other members for their photos, go online and make your own. I made one for me at work - I'm not crying that I didn't make it into the official Monte calendar - not happy about it, but I just made my own with both of my Montes and cars that I have previously owned and it turned out great and life is good!

So here's a question,
If someone who is not an admin/mod here, gathered the 12 pics and made a cover, would that be ok?
Would they be allowed to put a post up here selling said calendar, or would that be an issue?
Also if said calendar was made, would it be ok to put www.montecarloforum.com on the cover?
OK maybe more then one question. I am not trying to stir the pot, or make a big deal about it, cause it's really not as stated, just curius that's all.

wow I just went back and read the posts and I would like just to say that we had 2 good cars win and lets just say that !
Thank you to every one that works on and or reads /participate on this site with out all of you I could not have won MOTM .Taz did cover this when that site did offer that other calender and said that we would not have one other than that I like others still have a chance to buy that one and if you really want just print out a picture of your car and put it on your month that you won !! LOL
and congrats Lisa and mod Mike on your win !! X2
