4th Gen ('81-'88): Wiring photos needed
Another wire I don't know where to re connect is a single wire plug that comes right from the junction block on the firewall, beside the washer fluid pump plug and the wiper motor plug.
Last thing there are two vacume lines coming from the passenger side firewall. One purple one green, where do they go?
thanks in advance
#1 Should be for when the AC is on and wire appears to be in picture 3 green one if I remember correctly . #2 appears to be the coolant sender in the cylinder head between cylinder 1 & 3 or the Knock sender can't tell from pic Not sure on #3 pic except maybe green wire and the vacuum lines should be to operate the heater/ ac blend doors on the inside of the car should be a round vacuum ball 1 goes too. Wires by wipers could be for cruise control. Notice you have some decent angle plug heads on there Good luck

- kknow of Any photos to refrence ? That still leaves 3 wires to ID

- Im thibking knock sensor I have the coolant sensor hooked up. Where does a knock sensor connect? I didnt see any that I missed swapping over from the 305

- these lines would exit and then re enter the cab?

-Should be more than one wire for that tho right?
Notice you have some decent angle plug heads on there
- they are L98 heads, block is a 68 327, intake is from a 350HO
Good luck
On the vacuum lines there should have been a vacuum ball under the hood that one of the lines went to and possibly the other went to the carb or heater control valve. At one time there use to be a vacuum chart on the fan shroud maybe it's still there. Knock sensor use is on side of block above oil pan they use a block drain plug, probably didn't switch over. Does the electric choke have a wire going to it ? Maybe it's one of them extra. Depending on where you live you can probably get rid of the emissions.

-Definatly no "ball". And I do not see a heater control valve anywhere in the heater hoses(I just replaced them)

-I posted a thread looking for a better pic of one. Mine is half missing. Its version CCH

- I will check the 305 when I get home from work

-Yes it does

- I'm in Ontario canada so 30+ years no emmissions

just got home from work and looked over the 305, i found no where to plug in a knock sensor. between 6&8 on the passenger side of the head there is a plugged hole, similar location to the location of the coolant sensor between 1&3 on the drivers side of the head. either side middle of the block just above the oil pan there are holes plugged. and above the oil filter there is a brass extension with a plug looks like two nuts tightened to each other. but nothing with a blade terminal, of that looks like a knock sensor that i found on google.
from post#1

seems this wire is the hood light, my hood is currently removed and could be why i couldn't find anywhere to plug it

Glad you got a small part figured out . The extension tube you talk about , if that's directly above the oil filter that should be for the oil.system Usually plugged unless someone used it for a sender, cooler or dry sump system I Wish I could be more help for you.
