Default Windows wont clear

Hi all, new here as you can see. My problem is with my 2006 Monte LT. In the cold weather here I cant get the windows to defog. If I leave the defroster running with a window cracked it will clear them in a few minutes. When you jump in and drive the windows slowly start to fog back up. This gets very annoying especially when I have to clear frost from inside my windows instead of outside.

The dealer is more than happy to put in a new heater core for only $600 but i have no leaks and no coolant smell. Any ideas? It does have the 3.5 Flex fuel if that makes a difference.

Why do they want to replace the heater core? Do you get heat when you turn the system on? Is the heater core leaking? If you are getting heat and its not leaking, you don't need a heater core. Like they said, make sure its on outside air.

Maybe your breathing too hard and your windows are fogging up, try holding your breath while driving (J/K )

Finally got back to the internet, I am glad to hear your answers because this past summer the little motor that controls the recirc quite working. I assumed it was on fresh air because that is what the light showed me. It must be stuck in recirc. Dealer qouted me about 200 to fix it. 25 for the part and the rest labor.

As to why the dealers were so quick to want to replace the heater core, I dont know. The only service manager I trusted was put out because the owner of the dealer decided to sell out.
