Default window loose comes off track

Hi

I have a 1999 Monte Carlo I have read some of the existing posts and still need some help. The front window is loose, moves in it's track and will get stuck and bind ,the only way to get the window back in place is to pull up on the glass and hit the power buton at the same time.

I felt inside the track mechanism and cannot locate any loose bolts , I see 2 white plastic guides and cannot locate what is allowing the window to slide in it's glide. If there are any picturs out there,or anyone can assist it would be much appreciated. You can email me at wwrench@yahoo.com

Thanks

I am almost having this same problem with my 1999 MC. My driver’s window kind of "falls" as it starts to go down and it sometimes gets hung up tilted forward because of the fall. I have the door panel off right now so any help would be great soon!

mine does it, my dads 96 actually jumped compleatly out & would not go up at all. the soultion is simple: remove the door panel(s), carfully, so you can get to the actuall window mechinism. next, LUBE THE CRAP OUTTA IT with something like PB Blaster, and work the mechinism by hand to help loosen the rusted/ frozen parts. what happens is that the track the window sits in builds up rust, and so do the pivot points on the mechinism. it causes the front of the window to sorta stick in the track, & its a major pain. after you lube, work the window swich with the door panel off to make sure it works.

good luck to all of you
