Not sure if you tried it, but to make the caliper bolts easier, you can turn the steering wheel all the way each direction. Thatll let you get whatever size wrench/pipe you need on it without being hampered by the wheel well. Its also a lot easier on your body being able to stand outside the car instead of being cramped underneath it.
