Unhappy What type of fuel do you use?

Curious... ... What octane fuel do you feed your Monte?...... I personally have always used 94 octane (Sunoco - now Petro Canada & Husky)... I also throw in an injector cleaner every 1000 or so km... Now that gas has hit $1.30/litre (94 Octane), I am wondering whether it is truly beneficial to run high octane fuel or is it just over-kill?... ... Thanks, ...

I use 89 just because of the frequency that my car hits WOT. Doesnt really need it but I like to use it anyway. My car runs alot better on 93 but thats not practical to run just for daily driving. I think mostly it runs better because of the higher CR and the 7000RPM redline. Maybe a l36 or 3100/3400 wont see as much of a difference with higher octane. The L67 definately needs it because of the boost.

I use 93 octane in the 05 SS and 89 in the 03 SS.

I use 89 (or is it 87? I don't pay attention. Whatever the lowest is), because it's cheapest and it's all I need. No real need to use anything higher for me. Besides, it's hard to afford gas as it is, especially on a Fast Food salary :P

87, that's all my stock L36 requires.

IMO low octane is just fine for NA Monte's, if your boosted all we have here in Utah is 91 octane. Right now regular unleaded is $2.72 gal. and Super unleaded is $3.05

I have used 93 in my '78 Monte since I have owned her ( Nearly 4 Years now). I've always been told it keeps them Cleaner inside the engine and stuff, so that's what I have always bought, it costs me over 40.00 Dollars now to fill her up but it seems to last forever, I can go to work and back a Month or more on a full Tank. :-)

I use 93 octane to the tune of about 55 dollars a week. Seems like my mileage is really bad in the winter.
