I had my water pump replaced twice under warranty - once for a bad bearing and the other time a seal. The motor is out of the car now and about ready to put back in, but I would really like to use an aftermarket water pump non-cast and/or billet housing if one is made for my car. It's a 2007 SS with the 5.3L. The OEM water pump is cast (made in China - and of inferior quality) with a pressed in bearing and can not be rebuilt because the housing can not take the pressure of bearing removal and reinstallation. Does anyone have any suggestions.
