Default Turn Signals / Hazards Not Working

My wife's '02 Monte seems to have lost it's turn signals and hazard lights yesterday.

Turn signals won't work at all. Hazards worked for a few blinks then stopped. The hazards worked again a few minutes later but again stopped.

Fuse for turn signals looks fine. Fuse for BCM looks fine.

As far as I know, the 2002 and newer models have electronically controlled turn signals / hazards (rather than relay/module). Since the fuse checks out OK, is the BCM the likely culprit? Any others suggestions for source of problem?

I have an extra hazard warning switch that I know works. I can send it to you to try if you want. It plugs in to the back of the hazard button on the dash.

Thanks for the offer! I'll holler if I need it.

My mechanic says it's the hazard switch inside the steering column. Don't know exactly what that is, but since this is my wife's daily driver, I can't afford the time to play with it. My mechanic got the necessary part late yesterday afternoon and is installing it today.

Thanks again for the offer!

Hazard switch isn't on the steering column on the Montes IIRC it's on the dash above the radio. Just take off the dash panel and there it is. Pretty easy to replace actually once you get the hang of messin with the massive plastic panel that makes up the dash.

Yeah, that part in the dash is what I have extras of from cars that I've nabbed parts off of. I didn't know there was one in the steering column either, but I've never had my column apart.

The hazard button is definitely on the dash. When I pick it up, I'll have him show me what was replaced.

There's definitely a module connected to it as well. I've had it apart before.
