Default t's HOT i n Texas @$%!^#@(*^&#$ I

I can't even drive the car without getting errors and engine lights for trans temp.

Coolant says about 225 to 230 so the oversize custom radiator keeps me from melting down.

AC doesn't work for s()& and keeps switching off and on.

For the sake of argument temp in the car says 117. airport said 102 which i don't believe.

I'm gonna drive my diesel truck for a while.

This is too hot to stand.

Man,,, There has to be a way to cool this car I haven't found yet.

Would love your input.

Yeah, I'm trying to move.

And,,,, I think my adopted cat that was supposed to neutered is probably pregnant. :-( Just shoot me!

Well actually no. Diesels don't suffer from the heat like gasers do. My 07 Silverado diesel NEVER gets hot.

Now getting it to warm in the cold is another story. It takes a while.

Ahhh cold. I remember cold.

A few things you can do, such as a colder thermostat (160 or 180 degrees, up to you) it sends coolant through your system at a lower temperature (stock is normally 195). If you are forced induction you can get colder spark plugs, such as copperlite 605's or copperlite 104's. You can get cold air, which will give you better fuel economy and more horsepower (hardly noticeable). You can get a less restrictive exhaust (think U-bend delete) so that the engine doesn't have to work as hard to get rid of the gases, which will also increase horsepower. You can get a tune that leaves the fans running for a minute or so after you turn off you car. You could also get an IC but that is definitely on the extreme side.

I see you have a CT turbo, do you also have the IC installed? If you do, did you remove the lip at the bottom of the front fender? That piece draws air to the radiator and helps cool it. The IC isn't too restrictive but in the middle day, when temps are 100 and up, it's not going to aid the radiator stay cooler either. The kit comes with a 180 thermostat and the dp comes without the U-bend. You may also want to have your PCM tuned so the fans come on at a lower temperature, and like the previous poster mention, stay on for a minute after you stop the car.

How many threads you gonna make on trying to keep your car cool?

You could always drive it up to PA and I'll take it off your hands. It'll stay nice and cool up here

Just 2. This one was sort of a joke as I have pretty much exhausted everything but rain dances and cooler temps.

Let me break it again first and then I'll sell it to you.
