If I looked at their web site correctly, it's add $80 for the cat with the down pipe?

So the pipe and cat converter will be $190 + shipping.

The $60 spread between regular and 304 stainless isn't too bad. Not if you want something that will look nicer in the long run compared to a rusty old pipe on a car you want to look it's best.

RJ, my cat went out at 83,000 on my '01. It should still be under warranty. I'd check that before buying a new hi-flow unit.

HEY EVRYONE i seem to have same Thing and would be nice if someone Could really help me out but mine has a little twist.. This is a 2005 SS.. About month ago my check engine light came on soo i stoped checked evrything and it seem to be fine. didnt really feel any power lose. Few days go by and then the engine light came off like it fixed itself.. soo i said RIGHT ON!!!.. about a week ago really nice day i was driving back from the lake about 30min drive, it was a good drive once i hit the city i noticed the same TRANNY issue.. long shifting Sorta hard... just the other day my engine light came on again and i dont remember the code but somehting like 18** and stood for LONG HARD SHIFT no ferther detail.... and when i checked that code it also had my first code from befor when it dissapeird and said (Co2, exhust leak, cat) Didnt say what it was... Soo now im really thinking whats going on if its only the cat Thats awsem but i would really like some one to clarify this befor I put money into this car becase if its the cat.. GOOD BY CAT.... Downpip-ubend + 2 mufflers. Soo if anyone could help me our here would be great THANK YOU sorry for posting this on ur thread but its alone the lines of my problem...

For those of you going with a high flow aftermarket CAT and especially the one listed on ZZP make sure you get an o2 emulator to go with it or you will throw an O2 code..

rj, the '01 & '02 had cat problems that they have a "special policy" on - 120,000 miles or 10 years. Not sure if any of the '03 are included. It's posted here somewhere because that's how I found out about it. If it's the cat it should throw a P0420 code but it may not have set it and turned on the CEL yet. I'd go ahead and scan for any possible codes.

steven there is another person having the long shift issue and the 1811 code, sry and good lick.

rj my 03 ss gordon edition was fixed by the cat and btw your cat has a 80k warranty on it so take it in. otherwise high clow or something like that will fix it.

Even if your car can be fixed for free, I'd still go the Downpipe with a High-flow route. It's just more beneficial for the car to get rid of the restrictions there anyway.

For the 05 I would be careful about putting the downpipe on, if you throw the P0420 code you can't use the emulator to get rid of it, you'd need your PCM to program out that code.

And it's not 100% that you will throw the P0420 code, though it's highly probable. And if you do throw the code, I would look into a tune or a PCM that has the code deleted instead of the emulator.

I know I'm coming in on this thread sorta late, but the high flow CAT that comes with the downpipe from ZZP...do you get a loss in low end torque with a high flow CAT? I remember when I had a '95 T-Bird it had this rattling clanging sound in the engine, and it was INCREDIBLY slower, the mechanic put a new CAT on it and the car felt much faster. Will going from a stock CAT that seems to be fine to high flow CAT yield any differences? Loss in torque, gain, anything?
