Default Traction Control and ABS warning light

On my 2001 Monte SS I recently rotated the tires myself. Since then I'm getting an occasional abs and traction off warning lights on the dash, always together. It's not all the time but more and more regular. Today I got the message on the display service traction control. After a few miles I stopped at a store and they all went away, but will come back in a day or two. Before I take it to a shop I thought I would just check and see what the normal causes might be. Any thoughts?

Most likely need to replace the speed sensor harness on both front sides. Really easy. Had the same issue with my 02. Started with abs Turning on randomly then shutting off with the "service soon" light until eventually "service soon" came on every time I started the car.

Now here is an interesting development. I noticed the car string slower, then had to get a jump last week at work. I replaced the battery and the traction control and abs lights went off and service traction control warning went away. I understand disconnecting the battery clears faults but if there was a real problem I would think it would come back.
