Default Tips for fairly cheap exhaust setup?

Hey guys I was thinking about starting with a u-bend delete and resonator delete. I'm kind of new to this so I'm not going to try and sound professional.. I've been reading around and don't know exactly what I'm talking about so deal with me please. I wanted to know if I should get something like a glass pack to replace the resonator? I was also thinking about getting a high flow cat and magnaflow/fflowmaster super 44 series mufflers/borla exhaust. Basically I'm looking to get my monte to have a nice loud rumble without completely redoing the exhaust.

You might as well redo the exhaust. You want a downpipe, high flow cat, and mufflers, that's all there is except headers. If all you want is noise, just do the mufflers. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble and do the whole exhaust (except headers).

Step up to a 2.5" exhaust pipe, that will help with a substantially different tone.

I may have mislead you a little bit, I am looking for power but sounds what I'm focusing on. I really just don't wanna spend over $500 or so.. Any suggestions on what muffler I should use for a nice sound that I'm down to anger the neighbors with. I heard a u-bend + resonator delete is cheap that's why I'm doing it. Make it sound a little better and maybe give me a few hp

If I step up to 2.5" do I need all new pipes or just new muffler? I'm kind of a newbie with exhaust, and what exactly is "cat back" exhaust and how is it different from stock

My Monte came stock with 2.5" cat back exhaust stock from the factory...

I did a resonator delete(straight piped it)... went to chambered mufflers by Xcelerator (provided by wearmaster) .. tails and tips... Installed at my Local wear master muffler shop for $180.00.. It has a Great tone...along with no droneing...

The ubend delete is done with an aftermarket downpipe. Then you want the resonator gone (every time I've seen a resonator delete on stock pipes, an exhaust leak forms there in about a year), then mufflers... Man you'd be better off just running a new exhaust. A cat back is exhaust behind the cat to the mufflers.

i would start with a U bend delete (or a whole new downpipe if you can afford it), replace the cat with a high flow cat, and get the longest glasspack/resonator that will fit.

for mufflers, i would get what you can afford, i am a fan of magnaflow myself.

zzp 2.5" downpipe is $130 (no cat, buy seperately) ZZPerformance - ZZP Downpipes #ZZ-GPDP

catco high flow 2.5" cat $45 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/cto-6906/overview/

2.5" glass pack 24" long $28 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/jex-a4524b/overview/

magnaflow xl 3 chamber, 2.5", $57 center in, offset out, http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mpe-13216/overview/ or if you need the offset in/offset out http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mpe-13236/overview/

so basically, with just the parts, you are looking at $317 + shipping/tax if applicable. if you take all this to a muffler shop, they will charge you between $150-200 to install since you will still need the 2.5" pipe bent and welded in

This sounds like exactly what I want. should I just buy all this at once and get it done with. And will it have a nice loud deep sound too it? Without being droney

I'm talking to my auto tech teacher about all this aswell and he said I should get new headers aswell? Will this help? Performance or noise wise?
