Default SWAY BAR REPLACEMENT difficulty

hello, so i was taking off my tires to paint them and i had found this on my drivers side

now i believe this is the sway bar. its not like this on the other side, money is tight and i already have to get my oil problem solved first, so how dangerous is this to drive? i will fix it after i fix my oil problem. i found a replacement part that is better than stock cause it is solid steel. so my next question would be how hard is it to replace this myself? i have a few tools, but i think they kinda cheap because they broke on me when i did my brake pads. please help with this issue, i am open to all suggestions
