im assuming the ads change from time to time so i cant say for sure what you youre talking about, but im sure its not an actual supercharger probably just on of the leaf blowers that dont work.

No but Hotrod Magazine had an article where they twin "supercharged" an old corvette with two gas powered leaf blowers. It actually made some decent power too.

Never heard of this, figured it couldn't be right. Did a quick Google search for electric supercharger - sure enough, most of these probably won't do squat as it would be difficult to generate enough increase in air pressure with a fan running off the car's electrical system. Difficult. Not impossible. For $180? Highly unlikely I'd say, but I haven't seen the actual ad the OP is referring to.

Those are just wastes of money and cause more of an airflow restriction.

Yup, I saw this one in my search. A quote from the end of the article:

"And we have to admit, the additional power is nothing to write home about."

So they dropped over $400 for two leaf blowers and other components, added two more gasoline engines under the hood, and gained around 24hp peak on a L98. Gas powered leaf blowers are going to provide a decent amount air pressure, and two of them did provide some boost, but not much. The electric kits just aren't going to get it done.
