Strange reading from scanner
im sure there is, im not sure where youre going with this.
i get the feeling you suspect your check engine light output from the pcm isnt connected to the check engine light? if thats the case, fire it up, unplug your IAT, watch the check engine light up, then go back to your auto store to get it cleared.

I just had a funny feeling about the dealer that I bought it from. I was thinking that possibly they disconnected the check engine light due to it being on. That's why I was curious. I wasn't planning on doing this! I'm not that evil!

Anyway, I'll probably do that with the IAT just to check to see if it works.

Ah, I see what you mean. You think they might have wired the bulb up to come on with another during the light check.
While possible, I don't think anyone would go through that to get around the CEL. Either way, the PCM isn't throwing any codes that trigger the CEL so you don't have to worry right now.

True, I'm just very paranoid about peoplescrewing me over. I've had bad luck in the past. If I have an emissions problem that doesn't really need to be fixed and the check engine light doesn't work, that will actually kind of be nice. I can just ignore it since ND doesn't really have emissions.
