Strange loud popping sound

So over the last week or so this has happened a couple times. I will turn my car on and I will get a loud popping sound that I think is coming from the air conditioner vents. If I shut the car off and turn it back on it will go away or if I drive around for a minute it will go away. Anyone have an idea of what that might be. I will keep my camera with me and see if I can get a video of it next time it does it.

turn the air off in the car and restart to see if it still makes the sounds.

if not, then my guess is that you have some debris in the blower motor

Yea it does stop. If I start the car and it does it, then I just turn the car off and wait a sec. Then I start it back up and it is fine again.

sounds like it could be a blend door motor or vent motor actuator...many gms will actually make continuing popping noises while the engine is running...if i do remember correctly, there is a recalibration procedure that you can do if this is your problem...i just can't remember what the procedure is...may want to check online to see if you may be able to find the calibration sequence, again, if this is the problem...hope this helps
