Default Stock Air Box

Hi
I just replaced my air filter with an after-market one. While taking out the stock air box I noticed it comes appart in 3 pieces. I removed the first two but the third piece (closest to the headlights) is still there. There seems to be some electronic component mounted to the air box with wires. I didnt want to remove it as I am not sure what it is. Please help

Cheers
Peter

lol the whole air box. I tried to remove it today. when i was i noticed a grey rectangle shaped block with wires coming out of it. This was attached to the stock box. I was wondering what it is and if it can be removed. Thanks

ohhhhh. lol i guess that would be important. For you guys that have done a complete air intake replacement, did you completely remove the stock box and if so where did you relocate the pcm?

Hmm. Some people use a manufacutred bracket to hold the PCM on a set of rubber buffers. The K&N Filtercharger encorporates this.

yah, if your doing a cold air intake, then the k*n one comes with a bracket for that computer, but if your building your own then you have to fabricate something for that
