I have a 2001 monte carlo w onstar and i was wondering if i could install a new stereo without retaining onstar? Some guy at an audio shop said i do not need to buy the stereo adapter for onstar, is this true? He linked me to a similar adapter that retains door chimes etc but not onstar? Will this cause issues?
