I agree, you could be facing a dying battery. Since it has to sit, and it's been colder you need the Cold Cranking Amps to stay high for the car to start.

If you drive the car to a place and they test it, the alternator already got to charge it a little. I would probably just go out and buy a battery. Doesn't even need to be an amazing one since it's a diagnosis test. Just a run of the mill one with enough CCA for your car and maybe a 1-year replacement warranty.

Your story sounds the same as mine. "03 SS" It'll play its "no start" game for a few days then be okay for months. Then it'll do it again for a few days and fix itself for another few months. I also changed the relay after the problem first started and thought it was fixed because it worked for 6 months. Wrong! Just like you this is my wifes' car and she was stranded at work tonight. The problem originally started in November 2008. After the second time it wouldn't start I had it towed to my mechanic and of course when it got there it started fine. Personally, I've had it with this car. If it doesn't start tomorrow its getting towed again. I'm actually hoping that it won't start because thats the only way they can isolate the problem. If it does start, which it probably will, I'm trading it in for another car. A problem like this makes an otherwise good car too undependable to trust. Good luck with yours. -----------Bob
